From June the 20th until November the 30th 2006 will take place at the MEMORIAL OF CAEN an exceptional exhibition

ANTOINE AND CONSUELO DE SAINT EXUPERY :
OBJETS OF A LIFE TIME

In 1979 died Consuelo de Saint-Exupery, Antoine's wife since 1931.The work of Saint-Exupery is among the most remarkable works of the 20th century. Poet, writer, aviator, he was also a scientist and a humanist.

These trunks contained 13 years of passionate communal life; they traveled after the war by boat from New York and remained closed for the past sixty years.

An exceptional exhibit of objects and documents belonging to the members of the Martinez family, heirs of Consuelo, will be displayed for the first time at the Memorial of Caen!

An exceptional as well as an original piece: a table around which met a whole generation of American or French artists, will be lend bi Air France museum.

Next to the famous signatures of Gabin, Dali, Chaplin, Renoir, Greta Garbo as well as Marlene Dietrich, Antoine de Saint-Exupery has engraved the first drawing of the "Petit Prince".

The association, Aviation and Mountain organizes Monday 29th of May 2006 at Chambery, in the Congress Center Le Manege, a seminar on the following theme: Air mountaineering in Rhone-Alpes from Joseph Thoret to Michel Ziegler.

The colloque will end by a conference given by Alain Vircondelet, Saint Exupery biographer and author of many works on the writer, at 8h30 pm: "Antoine et Consuelo de Saint Exupery the couple found again thanks to the Consuelo archives".

From the 1st to the 17th October 2005 EXHIBITION at Grasse

From the 1st to the 17th October 2005 at Grasse in the Maritime Alps an exhibition will take place which will pay homage to Consuelo de SAINT EXUPERYwho lived in this town for many years.
Paintings and sculptures of the artist will be exhibited as well as souvenirs and documents.

Antoine and Consuelo de Saint Exupery, a legendary love story

A romantic love story.

When he met his wife, Antoine de Saint Exupery is director of the Argentinean Aero postal company.
Taciturn and hothead the author of "Terre des hommes" is an adventurer and an eternal child. Consuelo Sucin Sandoval, twice a widow at twenty seven years old is a magnetic, fiery and sensual person. Their story started in Buenos Aieres by passionate kisses in the air and a forty pages letter.

A passionate love

They were whimsical, very close, and unconventional always in a move between two hotels.
But soon after the dazzling days of the beginning, the couple started tearing each other apart.
Antoine went away, came back and set off again he never loved his wife as much as when he was far away from her.
Consuelo started disputes, left him and implored him. The terrible lovers separate at dawn of the war.

A legendary love

Consuelo joined her husband in New York in 1942.In a big wooden house she took care of him while he wrote the "Petit Prince". Saint Exupery sketched her under the features of a rose." Thank you to have been fond of me as a little obstinate crab", he told her before he disappeared, a way to celebrate her, she will live thirty more years with the souvenir of her "eternal husband".

The exhibition "Antoine and Consuelo de Saint Exupery a legendary love story" which should have taken place during summer 2005 at the laverdens castle In the Gers had to be cancelled for political and financial reasons totally beyond the control of the exposants, and of the exhibit manager the writer Alain Vircondelet.
The cancelling has no link with the memory and the couple life Antoine et Consuelo de Saint Exupery which should have been evoked during this exhibit.
We are of course sorry about this situation, but can already announce that soon a space will be consecrated to this project.
